Black History Month
February marks the beginning of Black History Month, an important time of celebration and increased awareness of the history, heritage, and culture of many of VOISE Academy's faculty and students, as well as the surrounding neighborhood of Austin.

VOISE Academy makes HUGE Gains
Last year's testing data is in and VOISE Academy made one of the highest gains in CPS. The class of 2013's increase of 1.2 points on the ACT was second in all of CPS. Read further to see all of the tremendous gains VOISE students made last year.

VOISE Acknowledges its first Emerging Leaders
This week was the first week we acknowledged our Emerging Leaders at VOISE Academy! Emerging Leaders are exceptional students and display qualities such as: Leadership, Service, Academic Excellence, Honesty, Creativity, Character and Respect. They are voted on by teachers in their grade level and are awarded a college t-shirt and "out of uniform" day in order to participate with VOISE Staff College Days. The next Emerging Leader Day will be November 16 and we will acknowledge a new group of Emerging Leaders. Follow this story to see who are this week's Emerging Leaders!
